Melvin Ray Haddix

Melvin Ray Haddix, age 55, of Saint Johns, Florida passed away on November 23, 2015 in St. Augustine at North East Florida Community Hospice. He was born at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, Tennessee on April 20, 1960 to parents Calvin Ray Haddix and Vivian June Mason Manis. He graduated from Elkins High School in Elkins, West Virginia and honorably served in the United States Navy from June 8, 1984 to October 9, 1996. Melvin attended Hineni Jewish Messianic Church in St. Augustine and worked for Express Mowers in Jacksonville. He will be forever remembered as a loving son, brother and husband. Melvin is preceded in death by his mother Vivian June “Penny” Manis and uncles, Carl Haddix and Terrell Haddix. He leaves behind his wife, Debra Haddix; father, Calvin Ray Haddix and step-mother Jewel; brother, Gary and Tammy Haddix; step-brothers Timothy and Haydee Hill, Aaron and Lynetta Hill, cousins, niece and nephews. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Oakhill Church of the Nazarene, 4151 Old Middleburg Road N, Jacksonville, Florida 32210.
