Patrick Smith, 66, was welcomed into eternity by the Lord on September 16, 2015, with his wife and son by his bedside. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles and Frances Smith. He received degrees from the High School of Music and Art in New York City, Hartt College of Music in Hartford, Connecticut and Teacher’s College at Columbia University in New York. He was involved in music his whole career as cellist, conductor with the Cathedral Arts program, Douglas Anderson Repertory Orchestra and Premier Strings of the Jacksonville Orchestra Youth Symphony. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dianne, his son and daughter-in-law, Jaimeson and Heather and two very special granddaughters, Maggie and Emma, along with many cousins, friends and students. Services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., at Christ Church PCA on 9791 Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville. Inurnment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
