Rita Faye Harmon-Ahern

Rita Faye Harmon-Ahern, 61, after a long battle with cancer, passed
away Saturday August 1, 2015 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born October 6, 1953 in Pekin, Indiana and graduated from Floyd Central High School in Floyd Knobs, Indiana and worked at Ally in Jacksonville, Florida. She was baptized into Christ as a teenager at Greenville Christian Church and now has joined the Lord. She will be remembered for her love of family, travel, shopping, horses and her many friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Hatfield and survived by, husband, John Ahern; mother, Coleta Hatfield; children, Nicholas V. Harmon, John Ahern V and Cheryl Ahern; grandson, J.J. Ahern; Aunt Jane Stewart (Billy), Aunt Patsy Hein and all their children and Uncle Gene Hatfield and family. All the friends, “family” and neighbors from Arizona to Indiana to Florida.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring Chapel at 4266 Sunbeam Road Jacksonville, Florida 32257 with Chaplain Daniel Yankoon officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Northeast Community Hospice.
