Florence V. Parry

Florence V (Kurtz) Parry, 91, of Middleburg, FL and formerly of Egg Harbor City, NJ, where she was born on January 2l , 1924 was reunited in Heaven on July 2l , 20l5 with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her father and mother, Frank and Madeline (Lena) Kurtz; her sister, Dorthy Kurtz and her daughter-in-law, Gerri Parry.

Florence was employed by Lenox China Pomona, NJ as a China Selector for 22 years. She was a member of the GMPAW Union and served as its Secretary of Local Union 236A for 16 years. Florence took her union responsibilities very seriously as she and her dearest friend Florence Smith (president of Local Union 236A) attended numerous courses in union leadership. She was a past member of the Harry Keller VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Mullica Twp., NJ. Florence was also a member of AARP and was very active in the Egg Harbor City's local chapter, planning trips and other social events for seniors.

Florence's greatest joys was baking and cooking for her family and attending almost all of her great grandchildren’s school and sporting events. When going to the games the other parents, when seeing her come, would say “Hey everyone here comes grandmom make room for her”, even at basketball games the refs would cater to her and let her throw in the ball. She was truly loved by many.

Florence is survived by her son, Robert Parry of Fairless Hills, PA, her daughter, Darlene Rundio (Rudy) of Middleburg, FL., five grandchildren, Douglas Parry (Ellen) of Swannanoa, NC, Robert Parry (Stephanie) of Woodwich Twp., NJ, Derek Rundio (his friend Vera) Middleburg, FL, Bryan Rundio (Andrea) Big Pine Key, FL and Robyn Ondish (Chad) Middleburg, FL, 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm for family
and friends at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Ave., Egg Harbor City, NJ. A
private internment will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Florence’s memory be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
