Gary Ray Dye

Gary Ray Dye, 70, of Jacksonville, FL entered Heaven on Friday, June 5, 2015. Gary was born in Smithville, WV on September 4, 1944 to parents William and Earline (Scott) Dye. Gary Dye graduated from Belpre, Ohio 1962. He served in the Army National Guard for 10 years and currently worked at Clay County Utilities. He attended Christian Family Chapel in Mandarin (Jacksonville, Florida) and enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the grandchildren grow, and of course doing/building "projects"! Gary will be remembered as a loving husband, father, & man of God. He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Dye; brother, Allen C. Dye and sisters, Wanda L. Meyer and Doris E. Dye. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Linda L. Patterson-Dye; mother, Earline L. Scott Dye of Belpre, Ohio; son, Douglas L. Dye and wife Rhonda S. (Simmons) Dye; daughter, Mary L. (Dye) Fletcher and husband, Fred Fletcher; sisters, Scottie Jean Jack of Placerville, CA, Donna Urschel (Lou) of Chapin, SC, Sharon Boals (Darrell) of Thomasville, NC, Ann Lott (Fred Morehead) of Vienna, WV, Debbie Bratcher (Jim), Chadds of Ford, PA; brother, Mark Sinclair and wife, Amy Sinclair; Aunt, Anna Marie Gragg; father and mother in law, the late Lawrence Clay Patterson and Mary Louise Patterson; grandchildren, Thomas Allen Dye, Aidan Dye, Clayton Fletcher, Morgan L. Fletcher and several nieces and nephew. A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Christian Family Chapel 10365 Old St. Augustine Rd. Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
