On Friday, May 22, 2015, the spirit known as Edwin Dale made his final transition, and on passing was greeted by his loving wife Barbara, grandson Michael, mother Ruth and grandmother Lily. He is survived by three daughters, Terri, Jennifer and Laura.
It is impossible to sum up his many accomplishments as he had several successful vocations, and even more successful avocations. He was a scientist, researcher, healer, writer, reader, student, philosopher, gardener, naturalist, woodsman, humanitarian, volunteer but most of all, through every endeavor, a teacher. Those of you who knew him may have only seen a few of these roles, but certain constants spanned all: Ed was an intelligent, thoughtful, generous, kind, unassuming and wickedly, irreverently funny man who loved his family and his many pets above all else. We all miss him.
A memorial will be scheduled by his daughters in the fall, his favorite time of year. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local humane society, his favorite charity.
