Lawrence Charles Corrao, Jr.

Lawrence Charles Corrao, Jr., 82, of Yulee, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on March 28, 1933 in Tewksbury, MA to parents Lawrence and Catherine Corrao, Sr. Lawrence was a United States Army veteran serving his country honorably. He was a truck driver and was a member of the VFW post #7909 in Orange Park, Florida. Lawrence enjoyed boating and fishing and will always be remembered as a great friend to all of his neighbors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Survivors include his loving wife of almost 25 years, Doris O. Corrao; children, Barbara Meyer, Michael Corrao (Wendy) and Crystal Sliger (Mark); granddaughter, Josie Brenton; many step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in his memory be made to Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring Community Hospice 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257 (904) 268-5200. A memorial service to celebrate Lawrence’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with military honors conferred.
