Carolyn Louise West

Carolyn Louise Robida West, 70, of Middleburg, FL passed away peacefully at her home on December 23, 2014. She was born on March 6, 1944 in Central Falls, RI to parents Alfred Joseph Robida, Jr. and Miriam Gladding Foehr Robida. Carolyn fell in love with Michael Bernard West, Sr. and they were married on April 25, 1971 in Quonset Point, RI. Ms. West attended the Christian Faith Center in Middleburg where she shared her love of the Lord in the prison and street ministries. She was a singer, keyboard player, dancer and lover of music. Carolyn played the cherished clown “Sandels” and had a love for laughter. She had never met a stranger, and adored people and animals. She was a strong military wife, loving mother and devoted grandmother who cherished her time with her family. Her friends knew her as a strong, independent and devoted people person. Ms. West will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 42 years, Michael. Ms. West is survived by her children, Chrisann Elaine West, Tracy Jean West Lowe, Michael Bernard West, Jr. and Annajean Lee West White; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Christian Faith Center 4021 Everett Avenue Middleburg, FL 32068 with Pastor Mark Sellers officiating. A covered dish dinner to follow the service.
