Charlotte "Deedee" Mclaughlin

Charlotte DeVane “DeeDee” Hurst McLaughlin passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness. She was born on November 27, 1966 to William D. Hurst and Ann Milton Hurst in Tampa, FL. DeeDee attended Terry Parker High School. She worked at AnswerPhone Jax for many years and for the last twenty years at Convergys Corp. as a Corporate Benefit Administrator. She was a member of the San Jose Church of Christ. DeeDee was a sweet, wonderful person who was devoted to her family and was loved by all who knew her. She had a heart of gold and was cherished by friends and family alike. DeeDee not only touched the lives of those who knew her, but of people all over the world who never met her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William W. Hurst and her loving grandparents, Francis W. and Blanche Hurst.

She is survived by her husband, William H. McLaughlin; her children, William A. McLaughlin, Noah F. McLaughlin and Virginia M. McLaughlin; mother-in-law, Myrna Nell Mincer; father-in-law, Edmund L. McCubbin; sisters-in-law, Debbie C. Hurst, Andi Beth Mincer and Lenore R. Mincer; brother-in-law, Michael J. Mincer; nephews, Michael E. Mincer, A. “Matthew” Mincer, William “Bryan” Hurst, Michael B. Hurst, Jonathan Z. Hurst and Adam J. Hurst; nieces, Allison M. Braden and Lindsey M. Braden; grandmother, Charlotte Milton; uncles, Ralph Mercer and Pete Milton; aunts, Edna Mercer, Nell Milton, Von Dakin and May Moody; step-daughter, Sarah K. Mitchell; and grandchildren, Peyton Mitchell, Kayleigh Mitchell and Aidan Mitchell.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 11:00AM at San Jose Church of Christ, 6233 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL.
