John James Floyd

John James Floyd, 30, of Jacksonville, Florida, was called home to heaven on December 7th, 2014. Johnny was born November 22, 1984 to the proud parents of John and Holly Floyd. John graduated from Mandarin High School in 2003 and then later joined The United States Army. John was smart, funny, care free and was happiest when his hands were working the soil. He enjoyed the little things in life and loved his family dearly. He wanted to travel and explore the world and now Johnny has the whole world at his feet. John is survived by his beloved parents John M. Floyd and Holly Wilson Floyd of Jacksonville, Sister Leah Anne Washburn of Tulare, California, Grandfather John Q. Floyd and Grandmother Jean Wilson of Jacksonville, aunts and uncles, Gloria (Dick) Wymer of Okeechobee Jan (Jim) O'Neill of St. Augustine Gerald Floyd of Key West and Lorri (Kevin) Newbill of Jacksonville, niece and nephew Ian Michael Washburn and Vittoria Isabella Desousa of Tulare, California, along with numerous great aunts and many cousins. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. John is now joined in heaven and in comfort with his beloved Grandmother Nann Floyd and Grandfather Jim Wilson. “There are things we don’t want to happen but have to accept, things we don’t want to know but must have to learn, and people we can’t live without but have to let go”
