William "Billy" Kirkland

William F. “Billy” Kirkland, 71, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday, September 1, 2014. A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, September 12, at St. Johns Golf and Country Club, 205 St. Johns Golf Drive in St. Augustine, FL. He was preceded in death by his father: William J. Kirkland of Dacula, GA; mother: Frances H. Brown of Winder, GA. He is survived by his cherished wife: Patricia J. Kirkland of Jacksonville, FL; children: Brett and Mysti Kirkland of Acworth, GA, Chad Kirkland of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Sam, Ben, Max, and Noah of Acworth, GA; sisters: Linda K. Bennett of Cumming, GA, Patricia E. Lee of Winder, GA, Cynthia L. Deemer of Foley, AL, Jody B. Aikens of Winder, GA, Tammy E. Gibson of Monroe, GA; stepmother Marty Kirkland of Mt. Airy, GA; stepsister: Lisa Huntington of Mt. Airy, GA; stepbrothers: Jeff Huntington of Mt. Airy, GA, Mike Huntington of Atlanta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Billy was a devoted husband and friend who will be missed by all. Golf was his passion and he demonstrated integrity, character and honesty in the game of golf as well as in life.
