Walter Herbert “Skip” Menotte passed from this life on October 10,2012 in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 59. Born on October 20, 1952, Skip was graduated from Nathan Bedford Forrest High School, class of 1970, served in the United States Air Force as an X-ray Technician, and was a business owner in Key West, FL and Jacksonville, FL for over 25 years. Skip will be best remembered for his sense of humor, appreciation of the arts, music, literature, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Predeceased by his mother Connie Menotte, biological father, Ramone Delgado, grandmothers, Bernice (Mommie) Walston, Juliette (Nana) Delgado, Lurlean (Notie) Menotte, grandfathers, Tom Jordan, Sam (Poppie) Walston, Chino (Papa Chino) Delgado, and Robert B. (Big Notie) Menotte. Survived by father, Dick Menotte, (Warrior, AL), brother Butch Menotte, (Jacksonville, FL) sister Elena Roberts (Ron), 3 nephews, Jordan, Jared, and Adam Roberts, (Warrior, AL), step-mother Paula Delgado (Key West, FL) , brothers Ricky Delgado (Orlando, FL), Lee Delgado (Key West, FL) and 3 nieces Kyrstal, Danielle, and Mariah Delgado.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at San Jose Church of Christ, 6233 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32217. The family will receive visitors from 10 -11 and service starts at 11 a.m.
