Barbara Jean (Rae) Augusztin, age 73, of Jacksonville, Florida and formerly of Bridgeport and Stratford, died Saturday, September 22, 2012, in Florida after a brief illness. Barbara was born September 27, 1938 in the Bronx, daughter of the late Robert and Myra Rae; and beloved mother of Michael Augusztin of Stratford and Richard Augusztin of Florida. She was employed by Waterbury Pen Company and later Valley Container where she enjoyed working as a Full Charge Bookkeeper for many years. In addition to her sons, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Laura of Stratford, (Mike's wife); her adored granddaughters Christina Marie, Alexandra Rose, Michaela Grace, and Isabella Renee; two brothers, Richard Rae of Madison, and William Rae of Stratford; one sister, Patricia Valliere of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Edward Porter, Donald Shea, and Josephine Agrella. The family had a private ceremony and there will be no calling hours.
