William H. Smedley

William H. Smedley, 56, of Orange Park, FL passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 after a three year battle with cancer. Bill was born to Freeman Smedley and Lou Jenkins Smedley on December 5, 1955 in La Grange, GA. He graduated from Georgia Tech and later worked at AVI. He was the founder of Club Smed and enjoyed boating and drumming. He will be remembered as very outgoing, full of life, and loved by all.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Lou. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie Pate Smedley of Orange Park, FL; son, Dan (Amy) Smedley of Canton, GA; daughter, Julissa (Javier) Navarro of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren: Austin Putt, Tyler Smedley, Jesse Smedley, and Kaylee Smedley.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the chapel of Hadlow Center Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257 (904) 268-5200. In lieu of flowers make deposits to Jackie Smedley @ Regions Bank on Blanding Blvd.
