Emma Mantini Cenci

August 30, 1923 — January 8, 2012

Emma Mantini Cenci, 88, passed peacefully from this life on January 8, 2012 after an extended illness. Emma was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Jacksonville in 1943 with her husband, Nino A. Cenci, who was stationed at NAS Jax during WWII.

Emma was predeceased by husband Nino A. (Austy) Cenci; second husband, Oris L. (Bud) Ice; sister, Josephine Spadea; and granddaughter Gabriella Cenci. She is survived by a loving family that includes children: Joanna Cenci Rodriguez (Albert), Michael Cenci (Carol), Mary Cenci, David Cenci and Chris Cenci; brother, John Mantini; grandchildren: Christina Rodriguez, Angela Rodriguez, Jeremy Cenci, Catherine Cenci Schwarz (Kevin), Jason Cenci, Autumn Spencer, Jameel Ghata (Lindsay), Julie Ghata, and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Road. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Southlake Nursing Center and Haven Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emma’s name to Haven Hospice.
