Mrs. Patricia Franco

Mrs. Patricia Franco passed into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on January 4th after a valiant forty day battle with cancer. Her love for and desire to remain with her family, friends, and pets gave her the strength to resist the ravages of this disease with unbelievable tenacity.

Patricia was born March 7, 1941 to John Peacock and Verdie Carter in Jacksonville, Florida.

Patricia will always be remembered for her love of animals, concern and love for her friends and family members and for her outrageous sense of humor. The joy and laughter she brought with her wherever she went will be missed by all who were blessed to love and be loved by her.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Gary, who will continue to love and cherish her for the rest of his days; by her devoted and loving daughter and best friend Scherry and her husband AW; her beloved stepfather, Willy Sutton and his wife Emily; Barney, her yorkie; and her “Eight Sisters”, a group of friends whom she adored and loved with all her heart: Sandra, Jean, Kitten, Dothead, Mardrie, Dale, Shelley and Dianne.

At the request of Patricia, memorial services will be private.

A special thanks is extended to the Orange Park Medical Center third floor nursing staff, PCT’s, and Housekeeping for their tireless efforts to make Patricia well and comfortable.

Contributions to the Jacksonville Humane Society in Pat’s name would be greatly appreciated.
