Maxine E. Simballa

Maxine E. Simballa passed away suddenly on 11/24/11 after a short illness. Born in Mitchell South Dakota in 1922, attended nursing school in Cleveland Ohio.

Having spent the majority of her nursing career at Akron General Medical Center, for the last ten years she resided in Orange Park, Fla. to be near to her family. She touched so many lives, had a wonderful sense of humor and a giving heart. All that knew her loved her and will miss her deeply.

Preceded in death by husband, Burt Simballa. Survived by son, Bruce Simballa of Santa Fe, NM. and Jeffrey (Lynn) Simballa of Orange Park, Fla.; grandchildren, Jason Simballa, Julie Ann Plourde and Jenny Lynn (Nick) Bailey, all residing in the Orange Park, Fla. area; great-grandchildren, Logan and Emily Plourde and Kyleigh Bailey; brother-in-law, John Talbott; nieces, Tracy Gleghorn and Elaine Steiner; special friends, Marge and Jim Bostick.

In honor of her request, private service will be held for immediate family. Maxine's family thanks you for all your fond memories, well wishes and prayers.
