Nelson King Bennett, Jr.

BENNETT - Nelson King Bennett, Jr. , 90, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jean (Beth) Bennett. The son of Nelson K., Sr. and Marjorie Bennett, he was born in Providence, RI and lived in Jacksonville for the past 39 years. He was an aviator with the U.S. Navy during WWII. Survivors include his son, Nelson K. Bennett III (Linda), daughters, Amy (John) Deans, and Hollis (Vincent) Cavallo, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 10, at 1:00p.m. at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra, FL 32082, with Pastor Roger Ganzel officiating.
