Delmar Richard Noble, affectionately known as “Papa” was born on August 25, 1948 to Henry and Julia Noble and departed this life on November 7, 2011. He attended Mt. Anthony High School in Vermont. During this time, he excelled in track and field, football and basketball. In 1967 he enlisted in the US Army and retired as a Sergeant First Class in 1982. He received numerous honors including two Purple Hearts, The Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation, The Army Commendation with two Oak Leaf Clusters. He served two tours in Viet Nam and one in Iran. In 1979, he returned to Michigan after the US Embassy takeover where he was a prisoner of war. While there, he met Emma Suber, their relationship grew and married soon after. He then took his family to Puerto Rico and Key West where their children joined them and the “Papa” era began.
Papa’s favorite past time was listening and singing to his music. He enjoyed the outdoors, an avid sportsman, especially fishing. Papa was at his absolute best when he was around children. He was a kind and caring man. If you ever needed help, he was there to help no matter what the situation.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Mrs. Emma Suber-Noble, four children: Kim (Bennie) Tate, Kelly (Mark) Krans, Lenita and Darren Turner, seven grandchildren: Keenan, Alexis, Rachel, Marisa, Epiphany, Malachi & Marley. Two sisters: Judy & Pan Noble, Four brothers: Phil, Eugene, Dean & Kevin Noble and whole host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his eldest brother Stephen Henry Noble and his son Nathan Richard Noble.
