Madelyn Virginia Geaman

Formerly of Jacksonville passed away November 3rd at 84. Survived by her sister Joyce (Don) Lesh, sons Jay (Mary Jo) Geaman, Lee (Maxine) Geaman and grandchildren Matt, Kate, Molly, Ross, Brett and Caitlin.

Born in 1927 at 2 ½ lbs to Joseph Ehrlich and beloved mother Virginia Hansen in South Portsmouth, KY. She grew up in Lima OH attending Central HS and St. Mary’s Academy in Colombus OH. Attended Miami University in Oxford OH transferring to Ohio State meeting beloved husband John (Rick) Richard Geaman (patent attorney and chemical engineer) in 1949. Married for 23 years as a loving homemaker until Rick’s untimely death when she utilized her education to work for AT&T as a stock correspondent transferring to Jacksonville in 1982. Taking early retirement allowed her time to enjoy her passions, being kind & loving to everyone, travelling the world, playing bridge, boating, walking, Red Hat club, charities, involvement at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church and of course her sister, children, grandchildren and friends.

Many thanks to her Doctors, nurses and Baptist Medical Center downtown, over the years their expertise, professionalism and kindness was unparalleled.

Memorial service will be held at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church 2137 Hendricks Ave. Jacksonville, FL at 11am Thursday 11/10. Everyone is invited for lunch afterward, please advise your attendance calling Lee at 610 368 1885. Memorial donations to American Heart Association. Interment will be in South Portsmouth KY.
