Fred G. Roe, 52 a lifelong resident of Jacksonville Beach, born on December 21, 1958. Went to heaven on the wings of angels October 30th. He beat every record, fishiing the longest with Renal Cell Carcinoma. The ocean was his second love, his first is his precious daughter Nikki Roe.
Predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Bea Roe, he is survived by his sisters, Patricia A. Nelson (Richard) Jonesboro, Tn., Deborah J. Harris (Ed) Jacksonville Beach, his partner in crime Donna Ritchie Carlevato (Nick) Jacksonville, and Lisa A. Keane, Jacksonvile, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Extended family include Jim and Shirley Mazza and staff of Consumer Refrigeration and Appliance Service. Ms. Madeline, Lorraine Roe, Dr. Alan Marks, and countless fishing buddies that enriched his life in the most wonderful ways. He truly loved you all. A special thank you to McGraw Hospice, our earthly angels.
A casual memorial service is being held on Thursday, November 10th from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville Offshore Sport Fishing Assoc. located past the ferry, in the JOSFA building inside the parking lot of the Mayport Boat Ramp. Funeral will be held at a later date 60 miles offshore.
Fred always said “teach a child to fish and Bless them all their lives.”
