Gary Lynn Proffitt

Gary L. Proffitt, 57, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was born April 12, 1954 in Paducah, KY to parents David L. and Eunice R. Proffitt. A Vietnam-Era Veteran, he served as an Airedale in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion. Following his military service, he worked as a Diesel Mechanic. Survivors include 2 sons, Stephen Proffit of Green Cove Springs and Sam Proffit of Hillside, Victoria, Australia; and 3 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holly Hill Memorial Park, c/o Gary L.
