Guylyn Ruth Chamberlain Morris, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 8, 1932 to Guy and Nancy (Heimbach) Chamberlain. Guylyn was raised in Kansas City, graduating from Wyandotte High in 1950. She married Donald Morris in 1952 and they relocated to Jacksonville in 1961. She retired from First Federal Savings and Loan in 1989 after several years working as a secretary and in mortgage processing. She was at heart a homemaker, mother, grandmother and friend. As an accomplished pianist, she performed with the school orchestra throughout her junior high and high school years and in recent years enjoyed playing the piano with a gospel music group and for her church. Her wonderful home cooked meals and her beautiful piano playing will always be fondly remembered by her family, in addition to her unbelievable ability to “stretch a dollar”. She leaves her three children, daughters Lynn Bell-Stewart (Tom Stewart) of Jacksonville, Florida and April Butler (Donald) of Yulee, Florida; and her son Jeffrey Morris of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren, Melissa Paisley (Matt), Kristen Bell, Melanie Dempsey, Kaylin Stewart, Jeff Morris, and Hunter Stewart; and four great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Mikenzie Paisley, Kiawa Dempsey and Tristan Stewart Lee. She is also survived by her sister, Pat Caster (Buddy) of Bonner Springs, Kansas; her nieces Nancee Bowlin (Jim) of Texas, Cydney Riemer (Steve) of Kansas, and nephew Guy Douglas Caster of Kansas. She adored her three cats who were always faithfully by her side and also survive her – Josie-Marie, Phoenix-Louise, and Piper.
