Christine Diane Kersey Kyle, known as Diane Kyle, age 66 of Jacksonville, Florida, set sail on her final cruise July 15, 2011 at 11:55 PM.
Diane was born in Jacksonville, April 17, 1945, to E.W. and Christine Carrie Kersey. She was the widow of Alvin Lee Kyle Jr., who predeceased her on November 1, 2007. She lived her entire life in Jacksonville Florida.
Diane graduated from Paxon High School in 1963. Throughout her life she was a mother, homemaker, and avid Gator Fan. She loved to grow flowers and vegetables. Diane was an avid reader of fantasy and other fiction novels. But by far her favorite thing to do was go on Cruises. She enjoyed many exotic ports of call with friends and family.
Diane is survived by her son, Alvin Lee Kyle III, daughter, Starla Dawn McCarty, and her beloved grandson "little man", Ian Conrad McCarty. She is also survived by her brother George Kersey and her faithful cat Nubby.
In lieu of a traditional funeral, Diane wanted a celebration of her life. The Bon Voyage celebration will take place at her house, Sunday the 31st at 3PM. There we can all share the happy stories and found remembrances of someone who was loved by so many.
The family would like to thank all of her close friends who enriched her life throughout the years and were always there for her.
If you would like to attend her celebration and need more information, please call (904) 505-9401 and leave a message. We will call you back as soon as possible. We will also be posting more about it on her facebook page.
