Lois S. Stanford

Lois Anne Scott Stanford, born September 27, 1938 passed peacefully from this life to the next on July 22, 2011. She has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marion Scott. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leland E. Stanford, III, her four children Leland E. Stanford IV, Bruce Stanford, Shawnette Stanford Hanna, Collin Stanford and their families, and her two brothers, Harold Scott, Jr. and Malbee Scott. She was a loving wife, Mother and surrogate Mom to many of her children's friends. She enjoyed spending time with her 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was a servant to others and a lifetime volunteer with many organizations including WJCT Channel 7. A memorial service will be held, Tuesday, July 26th at 10:00am at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 3976 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, PO Box 660843, Dallas, TX. 75266-0843. Please reference Julie Lane-Team FloMo Sisters. Julie is walking the 60 mile walk in Lois' honor and to help raise money to find a cure for breast cancer.
