Dan L. Bisbee

Dan L. Bisbee, 81, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Monday, July 18, 2011. He was born to Seth and Mildred Bisbee on September 22, 1929, in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Monmouth College, Long Branch, NJ. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Later, he worked as a physicist with AT&T Bell Laboratories in Holmdel, NJ and retired after 33 years of dedicated service.

Mr. Bisbee had been a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville since 1993, and served faithfully as a Deacon since 1994. Dan was a lay minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ during his many years in the Shore Area of New Jersey, serving as the director of Youth Challenge, an evangelistic outreach to young people.
His great sense of humor, his love of people and his faithful service to the Lord Jesus Christ will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Seth and Mildred Bisbee; and a brother, Carroll Bisbee in Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Bisbee; daughter, Sharon, a missionary in Santiago, Chile; son, Dan, a missionary in Senegal, West Africa, with his wife Sue and their seven children: David, Lydia, Christa, Sarah, Jeremy, Faith and Hannah; and son, Keith, a cable technician for Comcast, in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife Dina, and their two children, Lucas and Ryan.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Hobson Auditorium, on Monday, July 25 at 6:00 pm. Rev. Danny Crosby will be presiding. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to support the ministries of either Rev. Dan L.
