Ernest Charles Waite, Jr. (Chuck)

Entered into rest Monday, June 27, 2011 at Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida after an
extended illness. A private family memorial service will be held later after cremation according to Chuck’s wishes and handled by Hatcher Mortuary in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Waite, known to friends as Chuck and Butch to his family, was born in
Augusta, Georgia to Ernest Charles Waite, Sr. and Geneva Ricks, both deceased.
He spent most of his adult life in Jacksonville where he owned a warehouse for years before
retiring. He also served in the Air Force, worked as a radio disc jockey and for an international large equipment tire company. He loved baseball, football and ham radio.
Survivors include one son, Travis C. Waite, British Columbia, 2 sisters, Linda Ergle (Joe), San Antonio, TX and Donna Hope (Bob), Evans, GA two brothers, Rick Meadows (Sandy),
Augusta, GA and Gary Meadows (Janet), Martinez, Ga., 5 nieces, 4 nephews
and his friend and landlady Bonnie Short.
