Remembering the life and legacy of Melissa, age 44, who passed on to heaven June 24, 2011. Melissa was born August 11, 1966 in Rockledge, FL. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Gail Henderson; son, Chase; sister, Sonya (Ed) Sowell; fiancé, Bob Willett; nephews: Brent, Brandon, and Craig Sowell; niece, Lynn Sowell; and great-nephew Levi Sowell. Melissa was a loving, devoted mother and a friend to all who knew her. She had a joyful personality and beautiful smile. She is well known among family and friends for the laughter she brought into everyone’s life. A memorial service officiated by Reverend Ray Mayfield will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Westside Baptist Church, 7775 Herlong Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32210.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Alton Church of God Cemetery in Mayo, FL.
