Suzanne Arlein Kerner

Suzanne Arlein Kerner, 67, of Jacksonville, FL died April 3, 2011 at the Hadlow Center for Caring.

She was born to the late William and Grace Arlein on Feb. 27, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio. Suzanne attended High School in Northfield, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Dayton where she received her BA in Social Work. She married Thomas Kerner in 1966 and they raised their family in Ohio.

Suzanne was a well respected counselor and EAP program Director in New Hampshire until her retirement in 2005. She and Tom moved to Florida in 2006 to be with family. She belonged to and participated in many community and professional organizations which shared her passion for helping others. She focused on her beloved 12th step work for over 40 years.

Suzanne is deeply missed by her husband of 45 years: Thomas Kerner; her loving children Jennifer Eubanks of Jacksonville and William Kerner of Cleveland, Ohio; her beloved grandson Bryce Kirkwood of Jacksonville.

A Memorial Service and Mass will be held in the Chapel of the Community Hospice Hadlow Center at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2011 officiated by Father Anthony Bonela. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio at a later date.
