Page Athey Stern

STERN Page Athey Stern, who is in the arms of angels, died at her home in Jacksonville, FL on March 6, 2011, after a six year battle with breast cancer. She was 44 years of age at the time of her death. Page is survived by her husband, Michael, one son, Christopher, her Mother and Father, Lucy and Louis Athey, and a sister, Lindsey Biber. Page graduated from Powhatan School, Garrison Forest School, Shepherd University, and received a Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins University. She was a teacher who devoted most of her career to the teaching and care of special needs children. Page was an active member of Mandarin Presbyterian Church, living her life as a remarkable Christian woman with great courage. Her fight with Breast Cancer was a testament to her faith and served as an inspiration to family and friends. The memorial service will be held March 12 at 11 a.m., at Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 12001 Mandarin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32223. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Page's name to Mandarin Presbyterian Church, American Cancer Society , and City Rescue Mission.
