Roy Michael Harris

Roy Michael Harris, 62, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 after a very long illness. He was born February 2, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio and is survived by his three older sisters, Sandra Ames in Loveland, Ohio, Cheryl Armstrong in Jacksonville, Florida and Kathy Blankenship in Pioneer, Tennessee. He also has 2 nieces, Deborah Armstrong and Victoria Mendillo in Jacksonville, Florida and 2 nephews, Dave Armstrong in Jacksonville, Florida and Michael Ames in Loveland, Ohio. Roy proudly served his country in Vietnam. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He leaves this message for his family:

To Those I Love And Those Who Love Me

When I am gone release me, let me go-I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me in tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave to you my love. You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown. But now it's time I traveled alone. So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for awhile that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, I'll be near, and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all my love around you soft and clear. And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home".
