Melissa Green Pierce

PIERCE Melissa Green Pierce, 52, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away January 15, 2011, at the Mayo Clinic from complications following a brief illness. She was born in Jacksonville on April 17, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Ralph T. Green and Iva (Lewis) Green. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, attended the University of Florida, and graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Marketing. She had a love of life and was a fun and energetic individual. The love of her friends, great dining, and her animals gave her great joy. She was married in March of 2000 to her husband and enjoyed 15 years together. She is survived by her loving husband, Brian, brother, Rodney Green, nephew, Brian Green and many friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and loved her. Her memorial will be held at the Comfort Inn Oceanfront from 4 to 6pm, Saturday, January, 22, 2011, 1515 1st Street N, Jacksonville Beach, FL, 32250.
